YarnGrid is designed with privacy in mind. Image processing and pattern generation happen locally on your device. We do not upload your source photos or generated pattern files to our servers.

Data We Collect

We collect limited analytics data to understand app usage and improve YarnGrid.

• Usage analytics: feature usage events (for example: image picked, pattern generated, export completed/failed, settings changed).
• Technical metadata: app version, OS/device details, and lifecycle information needed for analytics and diagnostics.
• Interaction metadata: screen and touch interaction events for product analytics.

We use PostHog as our analytics provider.

Data We Do Not Collect

• Your original photos or generated pattern files.
• Payment data (YarnGrid currently does not process payments).
• Advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking.

Why We Collect Data

• Measure feature usage and improve product quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot failures (for example, export issues).
• Understand app performance and stability over time.

Data Sharing

We share analytics data with our service provider (PostHog) to process analytics on our behalf. We do not sell your personal data.

Permissions

• Camera: Used only to take photos for pattern conversion. Photos are processed locally.
• Photo Library: Used to select images for conversion and save exported patterns.

Your Choices

You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the app. If you have privacy requests (access, correction, or deletion), contact us at the address below.
