1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using YarnGrid ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Our Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used. It forms part of these terms.
2. Description of Service
YarnGrid is a mobile application that converts images into knitting and yarn patterns. The App processes images locally on your device and provides tools for customizing and exporting patterns.
Making patterns works without an account. An account is required only for community features such as publishing a pattern, importing a published pattern, liking, and following.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must be old enough to hold an account for the App under the laws of your country.
You can start account deletion from Settings in the App. Deleting your account removes account-owned records as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. User Content and Community Publishing
You retain all rights to the images you use and the patterns you create using YarnGrid. The App does not claim any ownership over your content.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any images you use, including compliance with copyright and intellectual property laws.
If you publish a pattern to the community, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that pattern, together with any photos or cover image you attach, for the purpose of operating and promoting the community features.
Published patterns are reviewed before they appear. You must accept the community guidelines presented in the App before publishing. We may review, remove, restrict, or unpublish any content that breaks these terms or the guidelines, and we may restrict publishing access for repeated or serious breaches.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
YarnGrid is free to download and use with core features included. We also offer an optional, auto-renewing subscription ("Premium") that removes advertising and unlocks premium features. The exact price, billing period, and included features are shown in the App before you buy.
Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your store account settings:App Store subscriptions orGoogle Play subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by the store that processed the purchase, under that store's rules. We do not receive your card details. Anticipated features described as planned or in development are not part of a current purchase.
6. Advertising
The free version of the App is supported by advertising. Ad delivery and consent are described in the Privacy Policy, and applicable advertising privacy choices can be managed from Settings in the App. A Premium subscription removes advertising.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Process images you do not have the right to use
- Create patterns from copyrighted material without permission
- Publish content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
